It's that Friday feeling

I bought a laptop today. It's the same as the one I'm using this present moment, except it's faster and has an 80Gb hard drive. Which ain't that much given today's standards, but £522 is the kinda price I like paying.

Work was horrendous. I woke up with a head cold; I don't know how this kind of thing happens. How does one wake up with a head cold? Mental. Either way, it was a bad start. As a direct consequence I overslept, woke up groggier, sneezed 6 times and couldn't be arsed dressing in anything more than a purple shirt and some creased trousers. The day didn't get that much better, though I did drink 22 beverages from the free machine, which was pretty impressive, a new record even.

So, on to the weekend. I have designs to draw up for a potential client and next week's comics to draw. I can't wait to get my new laptop, the only problem being I need to find my Corel Photo House 2 and Microsoft Picture It! 9 discs, as they're the only 2 programs I really need for photos and the like. All other programs I can acquire elsewhere.

Problems, you see. Some people worry about world poverty and cancer and paedophiles. I'd hate to be one of those people. My face would get all wrinkled and I'd get all self righteous.

IHATEITIHATEITIHATEITIHATEITIHATEITIHATEITIHATEIT

I'm not too chuffed with my current employment situation, shall we say. As such, I will devote little or no time to it. Applications have been handed to Fopp and Jacobs' Cameras, and a CV handed in at Music Zone... and I'm going to head over to the Printwork's Odeon 'Casting Call' thing on Saturday. I refuse to apply for a job that I know I will not enjoy. I may have debts but I still have my dignity!

I've been pretty boring I must say. I wish I'd had the cash to go out on Monday, and any other time this month - payday's the 28th which I doubt could be more inconvenient, but it's a payday nonetheless. Not seen one of those in a while.

I am so fucking bored with life at the moment. Jumping from the fifth floor of an office would be a lovely delight.
