Fucking Dell

Seriously, remind me never to buy a computer from Dell. They are a complete buncha wankers. They've taken money from my mother's account, and then cancelled the order, which last time I checked was considered theft. Fucking arsebags. I want my damn laptop! Mum's taken hers home to use the internet there, and Laura's new computer doesn't have the internet on it, meaning that if I do want to surf the information superhighway I have to come all the way to Mum's house. Dammit. I'd better have the computer for when I go to uni. I'm going to set up wireless broadband there so that I can stay in my room permanently, only needing to venture out to go to lectures. Course, for this to work I'd also need to buy a fridge freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. May need to rethink this.

Friday night was pretty good. Kim and Eliza came up from Suffolk, Paul came down from Worcester, and Mike and Chris were already here, Chris living in a cardboard box just outside the cash machine. Joshua Brooks was fun, Baa Bar (the obnoxious gay bar I swore I'd never go to again due to the horrendously cheap shots) was predictably terrible, and I spent the excruciating time glued to the wall trying to wring enjoyment out of my immediate surroundings and finding none. Paul loved the music and thus danced accordingly. I hate dance music. It's not music and it don't make me dance! But yeah, photos are online if y'all want to see.

Yesterday, what was that? Oh yeah, didn't really do much, to be honest. The fact that I can't actually remember yesterday very well speaks volumes... oh, went round to Mum and Jack's for tea, where I ate half a chicken. Possibly less, probably more, it was damn tasty, though I did feel a bit sick afterwards. Came home, wrote two songs completely with chord progressions I recognise, though unintentionally - they'll be up as soon as possible because, as I said, I have no internet at home.

Possibly recording my EP next week. The TMDT EP is going to be a 4 disc, 16 track jobbie, all acoustic, each disc having a theme (Love, Hate, Truth and Trivia). Not many bands release a concept EP as their first release, so it might get me noticed a bit. I'm going to work on a website over the week, possibly starting from when I get back to Grandma's - not having the internet means that I have fewer distractions. I want a fantastic looking site, something to really inspire nice thoughts.

Today I went into town with Laura; Paulos went to Uncle Ray's with Grandma to watch the football. McChicken Sandwich meal lovingly digested, went to Vinyl Exchange where I picked up an original release of Fac23- Joy Division's Love Will Tear Us Apart 7" single, with a 33rpm B Side of These Days and an alternative recording of the title track. I've yet to listen fully, just have a brief one at the store. Sounds good though.

Fuckit. Apparently, the site has reverted to a previous state of being. I think this will be the last year I host my site with Purple Cloud, since changing their servers there's been nothing but trouble. All the photos and songs have seemingly disappeared, which is weird considering they were there not half an hour ago when I showed Friday's photos to BV. How odd.
